Assessments
DHS BPATS for Commercial Buildings Approved Assessors.
Paratus Consultants Group has become one of the first Department of Homeland Security - SAFETY Act approved assessors for the new Best Practices for Anti-Terrorism Security (BPATS) for Commercial Buildings.
The Assessment, whether it be security, safety, skills or inventory, is the cornerstone of any organization. We start the assessment with a 30,000 foot view in a 360 degree context and evaluate Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) of your organization to prepare for the known knowns and the unknown unknowns. Periodic Security and Safety Assessments provide the overall view of an organizations' posture and we provide the road map to creating a capable and actionable plan that is measurable in its accomplishments and progress.
Risk, Threat & vulnerability assessments
We utilize a multidisciplinary approach to risk, threat and vulnerabilities. Without understanding where our vulnerabilities lie, we cannot effectively plan on mitigating the risks. Whereas the Security Assessment looks at the organization from 30,000 feet, the risk, threat and vulnerability assessment drops down to 10,000 feet all the way to boots on the ground and starts to explore the past and current gaps in your safety and security program in order to effectively reduce and mitigate risks.
enterprise Security risk managemenT
Enterprise-wide Security Risk Management (ESRM) is a holistic management process utilized to effectively manage security risks. We can craft policies, procedures and programs as well as the road map to manage the outcome of events and provide a way in which to foresee risks, threats and vulnerabilities. The results of an ESRM program are better business practices, decreased losses and increased ROI. We can set your organization on the right path to creating ESRM or analyze your current program as part of a continuous improvement plan.

security master plan
Security Master Plans are the directions on your journey to risk reduction. Once gaps and vulnerabilities are identified from an assessment, the master plan works to prioritize and implement risk reduction measures. As seasoned security practitioners who have operated in the business world,we understand that the success of any security program is dependent upon how it fits into the culture and business plan of any organization. The Security Master Plan provides the best practices and actionable measures to address the ever changing security landscape.
policy and procedure development
We can develop policies and procedure that fit within your organizational priorities, culture and practices. The development of policies and procedures must be based on legal and cultural standards as well as have the ability to be understood and followed. Effective policy development is crucial in order for personnel to perform their duties effectively and properly respond to incidents. We can review your current policies and ensure they address your current risks, reduce your exposure, and provide the proper direction for your staff.
training
"An investment in knowledge pays the best interest"- Benjamin Franklin.
We can't say it any better. A well trained staff is a prepared staff and a prepared staff is capable of effectively responding to incidents and reducing exposure.
We have extensive experience providing training to companies and security departments in traditional security concepts as well as specialized areas but our value is our ability to tailor the training to seamlessly integrate into your organizational structure and have everyone understand they are all risk managers and that security is everyone's responsibility.
Security and Safety training should not be limited to security staff and we can provide situational awareness and safety training to all of your employees. From Workplace Violence/Active Assailant to CPR/First Aid/AED (Red Cross) to Emergency and Crisis response, Fire/Life Safety, patrol and investigative techniques, report writing and OSHA 10 and 30 hour Construction Safety and Health, we have subject matter experts that can deliver dynamic presentations from broad subjects to narrow and specific topics.
